Progression Route

Progression means going from one place to another. In order to do that effectively you must know where you are starting from and where you want to go. We will be spending time working on this in class and in your tutorials.

It’s a bit like a football match. When we want to play the game, we want to go from our end of the pitch with the ball and put it in the other team’s goal. And that is what it is about for you, scoring a goal. It has to be a goal you want to score, to achieve something to celebrate and enjoy. Too many people score own goals all the time, sometimes because they really thought about where they are going.

At HORIZON we will help you plan your progression route and how to set out what your goals are. And more importantly we will guide you through the steps towards your goals.

There is a proverb that states “the longest journey starts with just one step”

What may seem something a long way off or even unattainable becomes a bigger reality with every step you take.

There is a flow chart that you can fill in for your progression route. If you complete it now it will be interesting for you to compare it with the progression chart you will fill out with the help of your tutor.
