Horizon is a Community Training Centre and Community Hub committed to improving the lives of young adults who have yet to find their way in life.
We specialise in social and emotional education and as such we are more than just an organisation – we are a community, providing learning, support and guidance.

Horizon offers courses that are carefully designed to meet the different needs of our learners. We see everyone as individual and tailor their experience to suit their requirements.

Our Learners
We constantly remind our learners that the ability to build positive relationships with others through understanding is key to success in society. We start this process within the safe environment of Horizon and gradually expose our learners to the challenges of being effective in society in general.
When we engage with our learners, we deal with key issues such as:
- Self-awareness
- Self-regulation
- Motivation
- Empathy
- Social skills
At Horizon we believe that developing the person is not just about the qualifications or the competencies, important as they are. We understand that, without the fundamental skills to be able to understand and control their emotions and behaviours in order to build positive relationships with others, then any attempt by our learners to achieve those aims will falter as they will once again encounter the same difficulties that have led them to us.
