Katherine Shanahan

Katherine grew up in Caister-on-Sea attending local schools.

After gaining A levels at East Norfolk Sixth Form College, she attended Essex University where she acquired invaluable skills, friends and experiences, graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology.

Following graduation she took a year out to travel widely, spending time in a variety of countries.

On her return to Caister she gained work experience at the Crown Prosecution Service and The Disney Store before specialising in Human Resources. After a period in an HR position with The Walt Disney Company in London, she returned to Caister and began working for Norfolk County Services, now known as The Norse Group. Initially fulfilling a position in HR Administration, she progressed over the years to an HR Managerial role.

This proved to be varied and challenging, offering the opportunity to advise and support a wide range of people, making a positive difference to their lives within the organisation.

Her role at Horizon is not dissimilar and she provides administrative support and assists with a number of aspects of the business such as policies, procedures and accounts.
